This year as we approach Emergency Preparedness,
as a ward we will concentrate on one theme each month.
For January, our theme is Organizing.

We will organize our vital documents, insurance documents, and financial documents. As we go through each week, you may realize those areas that you have not yet provided for. Ultimately, you should organize these in a binder along with your other Emergency Preparedness information that you can easily grab in an emergency, if necessary. This week, please concentrate on Vital documents. Start searching and put everything in one place. These may include:

Birth certificates, Passports, Immunization records, Military and church papers, Diplomas and transcripts Marriage certificates, Adoption papers, Pet records, Proof of citizenship, Current pictures for family members, CASH – keep a variety of small bills on hand, Medical information, prescriptions and  Copy of your will, living trust, power of attorney etc.

We will add other Emergency Preparedness topics in this same binder so that everything is together for Emergency situations that may occur. Please see the Ward Emergency Blog for additional helps.
